H!P audition news, circa 2014-15
It now looks like that a second Hello Project audition candidate has emerged from Southern California's Imperial Valley with the birth on May 21 of Audrey Wendell, second granddaughter of Rad.
The first "Granddaughter of the Morning" and audition candidate, Ava "Ava-san" Wendell, 1, was born in March 2007. Ava (pronounced "Eva") is already practicing for her tentative 2014 audition for Hello Project's vaunted Eggs novice group, using DVDs from the H!P Summer 2007 concert at Saitama Super Arena as training guides.
Ava chose the Elder Club number, "Dance Chance," for audition material, though Tsunku has yet to formally approve the selection. Coconut Musume member Ayaka, who has since graduated and moved on to another agency, is Ava's inspiration, along with Yossie of Ongaku Gatas and Satoda, formerly of Country Musume.
Choosing the camouflage costume, of similar pattern to that of Ayaka, Yossie and Satoda used in the Summer 2008 show, Ava-san is already getting down the dance moves. Of some concern are the lyrics, as Ava has yet to really speak. Asked how she is preparing for the audition, she simply said: "Bath!"
Meanwhile, Audrey declined comment because, being only 10 days old, she is not yet able to say much. However, indications are that Audrey should be ready for her shot, which comes in 2015. Both Ava and Audrey will be 7 years old when they finally do audition -- the same age that °C-ute superstar Hagiwara was when she hit the big time in 2003 before °C-ute formed in 2005.
Show business won't be strange territory for Ava-san and Audrey. Their parents run a high-octane celebrity tattoo shop in El Centro, Calif., called "The Black Lodge" (559-370-3061). Looks like these two future stars will be shining a lot of light into that darkness.
This is Radicalipton signing off -- for now.
