This just in: Live shows keep H!P going strong
Taking a break in the series on °C-ute's remarkable song, "Jump," we recommend a report by sister blog Radreview, which in turn looks at, and responds to, an excellent post by Totally Hello! Project regarding the history of CD sales in the H!P company since its inception in 1997. Those sales numbers can easily be shown to be deceptive, drawn from flawed data, non-inclusive of overseas sales and mail orders, and simply skewed to marginalize Japanese idol music. Sony Music, of course, is behind most of this suppression. To make up for the CD sales slowdown, Hello! Project has responded with nonstop tours, such as the ones °C-ute has churned out over the last 18 months. Check out the entire report here:
